scientific evidence sometimes credible, other times not
by never a jw ini apologize if this has been covered before.
i found an article in the watchtower of october 15, 2013. it is quite interesting how science is sometimes credible, sometimes is not.
reminds me of the 607 vs 587 bce "controversy".

Feedback. I got some inspiration
by never a jw inwhen i found the following quote in another thread of the watchtower of november 2013 all of a sudden i got the push and the ideas to do something to denounce jehovah's witnesses as a dangerous religion.. at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound... or not.
(4) now is the time for any who may be putting their trust in secular education, material things, or human institutions to adjust their thinking the elders must stand ready to help any who may now be wavering in their faith.

Baptism of a chid and an elder's response to my objection
by never a jw ini just learned that an 11 year old kid is taking the questions for baptism.
as soon as his father finished tellig me this, i told him that he should make his son wait, but he responded that he couldn't go against jehovah' spirit.
i gave the guy a break because he is the uneducated and naive immigrant who puts his heart, not his mind, into the religion.

just curious. How about blood?
by never a jw ini have never been a jw, but i have lived literally surrounded by them since i married my wife, almost 20 years ago.
since i never raised a fuss before, i guess i was also brain-washed into thnking that their religion was harmless and the leaders were well intended.. i have been reading your comments for many months and have come to realize how harmful the religion is.
your comments have been mostly about the pain inflicted by shunning, deception in the literature, and the views on higher education.

Is there a mole in WT headquarters doing the writing too?
by never a jw ini apologize if a thread for this has been created already.
i found the following in the awake may 2013, page 13. earlier, in 607 b.c.e., babylonian armies razed jerusalem.
and led most of the survivors into exile.

"Literary Heritage"? Is this new Watchtower newspeak??
by never a jw ini decided to send a rather flippant e-mail to an elder who gave me a bible study in the late 90's.
he's a zealot among zealots.
he inhales and exhales wt 24/7.

Do you appreciate our spiritual heritage?
by never a jw inthat is the title of the second study of the feb. 15, 2013 magazine (page 8).
to the left of the title a picture appears showing three people holding very old watchtower magazines from the early 1900's.
i have been studying jw's history and doctrines for less than a year and i already have far more knowledge than most c.o.

It gets better. Part II of "Apostates are blown out of the water"
by never a jw injust a recap.. i posted a thread yesterday about an exchange of e-mails with a well known and respected elder and c.o.
sibstitute in a spanish circuit somewhere in the u.s. the man is about 50, raised in the truth, belongs to a family where all men are at least elders.
he is proud to have forsaken his dream of becoming a doctor to serve jehovah.

Apostates are blown out of the water by an elder's response to my e-mail
by never a jw inthe following are two emails (one mine, one from an elder) that are part of an exchange regarding the unfairness of shunning.
he is an elder and a substitute of the c.o.
he comes from a "highly decorated" family of jw's.
